Types of Rosacea

There are different types of Rosacea, the slightest blush appears as a permanent and you can see blood vessels in a very noticeable.

Another type of Rosacea redness presents the classic but with the appearance of red bumps or pimples may form pustules.

Rosacea can also affect the eyelids and the eye's interior features remain similar to conjunctivitis. It can cause burning, itching, burning sensations and various discomforts.

It can be confused in some cases with other skin conditions, especially acne or seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea is sometimes accompanied by some of these problems is even more difficult diagnosis.

There are four subtypes of rosacea:

  • Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea: Permanent redness prone to blush more easily. It is also common for these small blood vessels to be visible in close proximity to the skin facade and probably itching and burning.
  • Papulopustular rosacea: Some lasting redness with accompanied with red bumps that some may contain pus, may be easily confused with acne.
  • Phymatous rosacea: Thickening of the nose but also affect the chin, forehead, cheeks, eyelids.
  • Ocular Rosacea: Red eyes and eyelids dry and irritated. Foreign body sensation, burning and itching are included among other symptoms.

There are other types but are not formally accepted as subtypes of rosacea:

  • Granulomatous Rosacea
  • The rare and severely damaging Rosacea fulminans
  • perioral dermatitis
  • Persistent edema of rosacea
  • Rosacea conglobata
